Kloe's Nap Position

Saturday I spent nearly the entire day in the backyard working on lengthening the kennel for the kids. I was supposed to hike up to Squaw Peak with some friends however Kloe put a quick halt to our hike! I got to the trail head and realized that I had forgotten her leash...oops. Well it would have been ok except there were a million people on the trail Saturday morning and every single person wanted to stop and visit the puppy, so needless to say she was having a hard time focusing on the hike. So about 20 feet up the trail we had to abort the mission and come home. I didn't want to keep going and get frustrated with Kloe because I forgot the leash. So we head home and I decide to start the kennel renovation. Remodeling the kennel consisted of moving this huge pile of dirt out of the way and then leveling the ground. Next was laying the pacers down for the floor. Ok so I'm dismembering the kennel walls and making lots of noise and such when I realize I can no longer see the pup anywhere, so I go searching. Well I find her right below where I have been working all this time doing this....

What a silly beast!! So now I just need to get a few fencing panels... Courtesy of Kurt who also provided half my paver bricks... What a guy! And we'll be all set. Then I can put Kloes house in the kennel and hopefully she'll use it. I think Copper may be losing patience with her. She thinks he should be playing puppy games with her 24/7 and I don't think he cares too. It's like some 3 year old going to live with 90 year old grandpa! I think overall they are getting along just fine. It's just that Copper has been alone for 13 years, so it's a bit of an adjustment for him, but he's a good doggie and he's adapting pretty well.
